NOTICE OF INFORMATION PRACTICES

EL CENTRO LATINO Taxes Accounting Bookkeeping and Notary Services appreciates the trust you place in us. We are committed to protecting your non-public personal information (“personal information” or “information”) and we value you as a customer. OUR SOURCES OF INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
Most of the information we obtain comes directly from you. Your application gives us information we need to prepare your taxes, such as your name, your spouse’s name, dependents names, Social Security Numbers and address.

We will never ask for information from other outside sources unless it is needed to prepare your personal taxes or business taxes.

If we receive medical, mortgage or any other information about you by email or any other documents, it is generally received with your authorization. We will not share your medical, mortgage or any other information with our affiliates or non-affiliates for marketing purposes.

It is our policy to treat information we receive about you in the same confidential way we treat information that you have provided to us on your application. The same confidentiality applies to information about our former customers.


 OUR USE OF INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
We only disclose personal information about you as permitted by law. Generally, this includes sharing it with third parties to administer your transactions with us, service your taxes preparation or claims, detect and prevent fraud, or collecting payment using a third party companies or with your authorization. We require these parties to use your personal data only for the reasons we gave to them.

We may also disclose your personal information only with your writing authorization to other institutions like Internal Revenue Services, Arizona Department of Revenue, Secretary of State, Arizona corporation commission, mortgages companies, towns or cities offices, courts or judicial orders such as subpoenas, etc.

We may only share information about you and your transactions (such as payment history) without your writing authorization with debt Collection Company with the only propose to collect payments from you.

We do not sell your personal information to others and we do not provide your information to third parties who are doing business on our behalf for their own marketing purposes.

PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS
We maintain physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access. Our employees are authorized to access customer information only for legitimate business purposes.

HOW YOU CAN REVIEW YOUR INFORMATION
You can request a copy of the information about you in our files to review it for accuracy. You must make your request in writing. Within 30 business days (or as required by law) of receiving your request, we will send you the information. We will advise you of any person or group to whom we have given the information during the last two years. We will also give you the name and address of any reporting organization from which we received information about you.

There are certain types of information, such as information collected when we evaluate your taxes or when the possibility of a lawsuit exists, that we are not required to provide you. We obtain medical, business, and mortgage information about you only in connection with your accounting and taxes purposes. If the law allows you to review such information in our files, we will include it with the other information we send to you.

IF YOU DISAGREE WITH OUR RECORDS
If you believe information in our files are wrong, you can notify us in writing. We will review your file within 30 business days of receiving your notice. If we agree with you, we will amend our records and notify you about the change. This change will become part of the file. It will be included in any future disclosures to others and will be sent to:

  • Anyone you designate who may have received the information during the previous two years.
  • Any person or organization who may have received the information from us during the previous five years.

If we disagree with you, we will explain why. You can provide us with a written statement explaining why you believe the information is wrong. This statement will become part of the file and will be included in any future disclosures of the disputed subject matter.
